The Supreme Court today confirmed the death sentence imposed on four suspects accused of the brutal abduction, gang rape, and murder of Jaffna schoolgirl Sivaloganathan Vidya in 2015.

The suspects include Swiss Kumar and three others, whose crime sparked widespread public outrage across the country.

The ruling upholds the verdict delivered earlier by a three‑judge High Court bench, which found the four men guilty and sentenced them to death.
