SriLankan Airlines opens new office in Riyadh
SriLankan Airlines has opened its newly relocated office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of efforts to strengthen its operations and connectivity between Sri Lanka and the Kingdom.
The new office was inaugurated by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, O.L. Ameer Ajwad, together with SriLankan Airlines Head of Commercial Dimuthu Tennakoon and Almosafer Travel Vice President Saeed AlFraih. SriLankan Airlines Country Manager Thusitha Wickramasinghe was also present.
Almosafer Travel serves as SriLankan Airlines’ General Sales Agent in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ambassador Ajwad said the new office presented an opportunity to bring Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia closer through greater people-to-people connectivity and stronger tourism and business links.
He said the airline’s partnership with Almosafer, a major travel and tourism company in Saudi Arabia, could also help further promote Sri Lanka as a tourism destination in the Saudi market.
According to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh, the relocated office has upgraded infrastructure and facilities for customers, trade partners and staff.
The embassy said the facility is expected to support stronger air connectivity and create further opportunities for tourism, trade and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. (Newswire)
