A man has died after being shot on Kandawala Road in Ratmalana, police said.

According to police, two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle opened fire before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who was initially admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital with injuries, later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting and are searching for the suspects.
