Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa paid his last respects to prison officer Sandhika Pasindu Madhusara, who was killed while on duty during the unrest at Negombo Prison earlier this month.

Officer Madhusara, 25, was attached to the Prisons Emergency Response and Tactical Force and was a resident of Lunugamvehera. He died during the clashes that took place at the prison on July 5 and 6.

Following the tribute, Sajith met with the late prison officer’s family and expressed his condolences over their loss. (Newswire)
