Sri Lanka’s Ransini Perera secured the gold medal in the girls’ 200 metre event at the 22nd Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships currently underway in Hong Kong.

Perera completed the race in 24.07 seconds, delivering an impressive performance to claim the top podium position.

The victory marks Sri Lanka’s second gold medal of the championship.

Meanwhile, Sadev Rajakaruna won the bronze medal in the boys’ 200 metre event, finishing the race in 21.13 seconds.
