Iran has seized two vessels following reported attacks on three cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz, in an escalation that comes after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would extend the US-Iran ceasefire.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had seized two of the vessels and was escorting them to the Iranian coast, and added that the vessels had entered the waterway without proper coordination and violated maritime regulations, according to Iranian state media. (Newswire)
