ICC Annual T20I Rankings Released

International Cricket Council latest annual update has seen Sri Lanka drop one place in the Men’s T20I team rankings, while India and Australia retained their top positions in the men’s and women’s lists respectively.

Sri Lanka slipped from 8th to 9th after losing six rating points, falling below Bangladesh and now sitting just one point ahead of Afghanistan.

India continue to lead the men’s rankings with 275 points, maintaining a comfortable gap over England (262) and Australia (258), with the top seven positions unchanged.

In contrast, Bangladesh moved up to 8th place, benefiting from Sri Lanka’s drop, while Afghanistan remain 10th.

The update also saw the USA climb two places to 13th, overtaking the Netherlands and Scotland. Nepal advanced to 17th, while Oman moved up to 19th.

In the women’s rankings, Australia remain firmly at the top with 287 points, followed by England and India. Sri Lanka women held on to 7th place, closing the gap on higher-ranked teams to just one point.

The annual update weighs matches played since May 2025 at full value, with results from the previous two years counted at 50 per cent. (Newswire)
