The Department of Examinations has announced that the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be held on Sunday, August 9, across 2,723 examination centers island‑wide.

The exam will be conducted in two sessions: the first paper from 9.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m., and the second paper from 11.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m..

According to the Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, attendance records of applicants have already been forwarded by schools to the respective Zonal Education Offices. 

If corrections are required, parents and schools have been given the facility to make online amendments between July 23 and August 3. 

Corrections can be made via the official websites www.doenets.lk under “Our Services” → “Exam Information Centre,” or through www.onlineexam.gov.lk.
