Former Member of Parliament Premalal Jayasekara has been arrested by the Nuwara Eliya Police. 

According to Police Media Spokesman ASP F.U. Wootler, Premalal Jayasekara was arrested over allegations of threatening an individual with a firearm. 

He further said that the Nuwara Eliya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident. (Newswire)
