A fire broke out at a housing complex near the Ratmalana Economic Centre this morning (July 19), authorities said.

The Dehiwala Fire Brigade said the blaze originated on the second floor of the apartment building.

Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters have since brought the fire under control, according to the Fire Brigade. No casualties or the cause of the fire have been reported so far. (Newswire)
