Police in Wellawali have launched an investigation into a suspicious death reported in the Sinnwatta area.

According to the Police, a body was discovered in a paddy field on Sunday (10) following information received by the Wellawali Police Station. 

The deceased has been identified as a 53‑year‑old resident of Sinnawatta.

Investigations revealed that the man had been missing since May 8.
