Police have arrested nearly 120 foreign nationals during a raid at a location on Meda Welikada Road in Rajagiriya over allegations of involvement in cyber fraud and other illegal activities.

The suspects include nationals from China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Madagascar, the Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia, among other countries.

A large number of computers and mobile phones were seized during the operation.

Investigations have revealed that the group had been operating the alleged cyber fraud network from several rented floors of an apartment building in the area.

Police said several suspects managed to flee during the raid, and further operations are underway to apprehend them. (NewsWire)
