Police say vehicle movement on the Matara-bound lane between Gelanigama and Dodangoda on the Southern Expressway has been limited to a single lane due to ongoing maintenance work.

According to police, repairs are being carried out today (01) on two sections between kilometre markers 17–19 and 28–30 on the Matara-bound side.

During this period, traffic has been diverted, with both directions being facilitated along the Colombo-bound lanes to manage the flow of vehicles.

Police warned that congestion may occur in the area and urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic instructions while travelling through the affected sections. (Newswire)
