Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa has arrived at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to provide a statement.

Before entering the CID premises, Weerawansa told the media that he appeared before the CID in response to a summons issued by the department.

The former Minister further said that he was summoned in connection with a statement he had made regarding the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks. (Newswire)
