Vigilant lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard rescued a 7-year-old child from drowning in the Pasikuda Sea, Trincomalee.

The incident occurred while several people were bathing in the sea, when the vigilant lifeguards observed a child in distress. Acting promptly, the lifeguard sailors rescued the child from the watery grave.

The child, identified as a resident of Kandy, was administered basic first aid when brought ashore and subsequently handed over safely to his family. (Newswire)
