Former parliamentarian and ITAK General Secretary MA Sumanthiran PC said while heads of state must be prosecuted for serious crimes committed during their tenure, the arrest of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe on a Friday and the decision to oppose bail appeared ill-advised.
