A woman was injured when a small van collided with a train at a level crossing in Aluthgama this morning (9).

Police said the accident occurred near the Aluthgama railway station on Seelananda Road.

The van, driven by the injured woman, was struck by a train travelling from Maradana to Matara. She has been admitted to hospital for treatment. (Newswire)
