From tomorrow (August 1), all passengers in the rear seats of light vehicles travelling on expressways will be required to wear seatbelts, Minister of Transport Bimal Ratnayake told Newswire.

He said the move is aimed at enhancing passenger safety and reducing the risk of serious injuries during accidents. The Minister added that necessary enforcement measures will be implemented to ensure compliance. (Newswire)
