Thissamaharama police are searching for a suspect who stole an official police cab during an inspection last night.

According to police, four officers had left the vehicle unattended with the key inside while carrying out an inspection. The suspect had then taken off in the cab, which was later found abandoned.

Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the suspect. (Newswire)
