Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private secretary, Sandra Perera, has been summoned before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today. 

Perera arrived before the CID this morning to record a statement in connection with a probe into an overseas visit made using funds of the Presidential Secretariat.

It is reported that the investigation focuses on a foreign visit conducted between 13 and 24 September 2023. (Newswire)
