National People’s Power (NPP) MP Aravinda Senaratne has resigned from his post as Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA).

Issuing a statement, MP Senaratne said his decision follows the government’s agreement to hand over the COPA chairmanship to the Opposition. He said he stepped down to allow that process to take place. (Newswire)
