New Rs 2000 note with President AKDโs signature released

To mark its 75th Anniversary, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued a Rs. 2000 circulated commemorative currency note today under the theme โ ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ โ.
Earlier this morning, the note was officially presented to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake by Governor Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe

A limited issue of 50 million notes will be gradually released into circulation through Licensed Commercial Banks from today.
