The Overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) on a year-on-year basis, is 1.5% in August 2025.

According to the Department of Census and Statistics, this is an increase from the 0.7% recorded in July 2025.

Food inflation has also increased to 2.9% in August 2025, from the 2.2% reported in July.

Non-food inflation has also increased to 0.4% in August 2025 from the -0.6% recorded the previous month.
