Construction of the long-delayed Nawla–Angampitiya Bridge, halted midway due to the economic crisis and other factors, has resumed under the State Development & Construction Corporation (SD&CC) and is now in its final stages.

The project is expected to be completed and opened to the public by the end of this year.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena inspected the bridge, accompanied by SD&CC Chairman and other officials. (Newswire)
