Another monk injured in the accident at the Na Uyana Aranya Senasanaya has passed away while receiving treatment.

He was receiving care in the intensive care unit of the Kurunegala Hospital at the time of his death. This raises the death toll from the accident to eight monks.

Meanwhile, five other monks are still receiving treatment at the Kurunegala Hospital.
