President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has taken steps to amend the scopes, functions, and organizational structures of several ministries, statutory bodies, and state corporations. A gazette notification has been issued detailing these changes, which follow the recent cabinet reshuffle.

Under the amendments:

• The Department of Civil Security (formerly under the Ministry of Defense) and the Rehabilitation Bureau (formerly under the Ministry of Justice and National Integration) have been transferred to the Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.
• The Sri Lanka Thriposha Corporation Limited (formerly under the Ministry of Health) now falls under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, while Selacine Media Solutions Private Limited (formerly under the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs) has been moved to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.
• The Geology, Survey and Mines Bureau (formerly under the Ministry of Environment) has been placed under the Ministry of Industrial Entrepreneurship Development, and the Cinnamon Development Department (formerly under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation) now reports to the Ministry of Plantations and Community Infrastructure.
• The Ceylon Electricity Board, previously under the Ministry of Energy, has been restructured as Ceylon Electricity Board Private Limited, with four new institutions introduced under this restructuring program, as published in the gazette.

These changes aim to streamline operations and enhance efficiency across government institutions.
