Medamulana is much better than Wijerama Mawatha in Colombo, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today.

He made the remark in response to questions raised by journalists on the current government’s efforts to remove privileges afforded to former Presidents. 

Speaking further, Mahinda Rajapaksa said it was not an issue, pointing out that the privileges that he received were those from the public, and nothing mattered beyond that. 

“As long as the privilege from the people remains, they can remove any privileges from us,” he said. 

Mahinda Rajapaksa further said that the government was making this move for political vengeance. (Newswire)
