A 50-year-old man succumbed to burn injuries following a fire that broke out early morning today (July 23) at a residence in the 397 Watta area of Narahenpita.

According to police, the victim was a tenant and was found with severe burn injuries inside the house. He was rushed to the Colombo National Hospital, where he later died. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and Narahenpita Police have launched an investigation. (Newswire)
