Lucknow Super Giants have confirmed that they are looking to replace Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga after he failed to join the squad due to injury.

Hasaranga, who sustained an injury during the recent World Cup, has not fully recovered and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

LSG Cricket Director Tom Moody said the franchise is in the process of finalizing a replacement and is expected to announce a decision within the next 48 hours.

Hasaranga was expected to play a key role in Lucknow’s spin attack for the ongoing IPL season, but his continued recovery has forced the franchise to explore alternative options.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder’s absence is seen as a setback for the team, given his experience and effectiveness in T20 cricket.
