LAUGFS Gas PLC has increased domestic LP gas cylinder refill prices with effect from midnight today (05 April 2026), citing prevailing market conditions.

According to the company, the price of a 12.5kg cylinder in the Colombo district has been increased by Rs. 1,070, raising the new price to Rs. 5,700, up from Rs. 4,630.

The 5kg cylinder price has been increased by Rs. 418, bringing the new price to Rs. 2,280 from the previous Rs. 1,862.

LAUGFS Gas said it had made efforts to manage costs internally before implementing the price revision.

The company further stated that it will continue to closely monitor global market developments and pass on any favourable changes to customers where possible.
