Kumar Sangakkara once again alerts public about AI scam ads online

Kumar Sangakkara has once again alerted the public about AI-generated investment scams circulating on social media using his name and image.
Speaking to NewsWire, Sangakkara said that his name and image are being used with doctored AI videos created from his old cricket interviews to promote fraudulent investment platforms.
“My name and image are being used with doctored AI videos,” he said, urging the public to remain vigilant.
He said he has complained to the authorities regarding the scams but has not received a response so far.
The public is advised to verify the authenticity of any video or advertisement claiming to feature celebrities by:

Looking for blue verification badges or official website links
Avoiding links or ads that lead to unknown investment platforms or demand personal details
Reporting suspicious content to the Police or the Cyber Crimes Division immediately
