Hill-country MPs led by Mano Ganesan meet President to discuss community issues

Leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA), MP Mano Ganesan, together with several party members, met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (April 2).
The discussion focused extensively on the challenges faced by the Malaiyagam community, particularly in education, housing, and land.
The delegation urged urgent measures to address these issues, with the President giving special attention to the concerns raised.
The shortage of teachers in hill‑country schools was also highlighted, with emphasis placed on the immediate recruitment of qualified Tamil‑medium teachers to fill the gap.
