A 24-year-old suspect was arrested in the Himmaliya area of Wariyapola on July 22 for the illegal possession of four high-powered assembled motorbikes.

Officers of the Kurunegala Division Crime Investigation Unit carried out the raid based on a tip-off. Three of the motorbikes had been smuggled into the country without paying customs duties, while the fourth was unregistered and had fake license plates. The suspect, a resident of Bandara Koswatta, was handed over to Wariyapola Police for further investigations (Newswire)
