A delegation from the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) met the Mahanayake Theras at the Malwathu and Asgiriya Maha Viharas in Kandy to discuss challenges facing Sri Lanka’s free healthcare system.

During the meeting at the Malwathu Maha Vihara, the GMOA delegation briefed Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera on difficulties faced by medical professionals and issues affecting the delivery of public health services.

The delegation later met Waragoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero, the Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter, to outline the same concerns. (NewsWire)
