Former Sri Lanka Navy Commander Admiral (Retired) Nishantha Ulugetenne has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Nishantha Ulugetenne was arrested today over the disappearance of a youth from Pothuhera.
The incident is reported to have occurred during his tenure as the Director of Naval Intelligence.
Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne assumed office as the 24th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy on 15th July 2020.
He relinquished command of the Sri Lanka Navy on completion of his tenure on 18th December 2022. (Newswire)
