Mainly dry weather will prevail in most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Misty conditions can be expected in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-central provinces and in the Vavuniya district in the morning.

Meanwhile, mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island. 

Winds will be variable in direction, and wind speed will be 20-30 kmph.
