The Bribery Commission has arrested the Kalmunai Quazi Court Judge and his wife on allegations of soliciting a bribe, it is reported. 

The suspect was taken into custody at the Magistrate’s office located in the Maruthamunai area of the Ampara District.

The aggrieved party had lodged a complaint with the Bribery Commission last month, stating that the suspect had demanded money to resolve a legal matter.

Following this complaint, both the suspect and his wife were arrested on Sunday (17) on charges of accepting a bribe. (Newswire)
