Arkia Israel Airlines will commence scheduled operations from Tel Aviv to Colombo starting September 24 according to Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel Nimal Bandara.

Israeli ARKIA Airlines flight IZ 639 will depart from Tel Aviv Airport to Colombo every Tuesday at 18:30 hrs, starting today. It is scheduled to arrive at Colombo Katunayake Airport at 06:15 hrs on Wednesday.

Due to the ban on Israeli aircraft over Oman and the Maldives, the flight will operate via Seychelles, taking approximately 9 hours and 15 minutes to reach Colombo.

Flight IZ 640 will depart from Colombo at 22:30 hrs on Wednesday and is scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv at 05:35 hrs on Thursday.

This flight, primarily targeting Israeli tourists, will be operated once a week.
