A 45-year-old suspect has been arrested in Minuwangoda in possession of multiple weapons, police said.

Officers recovered a T-56 firearm with a magazine and 14 bullets, a pistol with a magazine, nine 2.5mm rounds, nine 9mm rounds, three swords, and two knives during the operation.

Investigations are continuing.

According to the Police,  the suspect works as a security officer at the Katunayake Airport. (Newswire)
