Three people, including two infants, have died in an accident after a car veered onto the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming bus in Narammala.

The incident occurred yesterday (19) on the Narammala–Giriulla road, within the Narammala police division.

Police said the deceased were two children aged 9 months and 11 months, and a 38-year-old man from Maho who was driving the car.

The bus driver, conductor, and a passenger were injured and are receiving treatment at the Dambadeniya Hospital.

Narammala police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
