1,056 new Family Health Service Officers to receive appointment letters at Temple Trees

A special ceremony to award appointment letters to 1,056 new Family Health Service Officers will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Health and Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, October 04 at the Temple Trees premises.
These officers are receiving their appointments after successfully completing a systematic and comprehensive training program lasting one and a half years. They are scheduled to be attached to hospitals and health institutions under provincial councils and the line ministry across the island.
Family Health Service Officers play a vital role in community health services, including maternal and child healthcare, and their service is of exceptional importance in delivering continuous health services closer to the public.
