CCTV footage has been shared in the media of the shooting incident near the Kuppiyawatta cemetery in Dematagoda, in which one person was injured.

Two individuals had arrived on a motorcycle and had opened fire at two other individuals on another motorcycle.

One gunman is seen opening fire at the duo and chasing one victim along a main road in broad daylight.

The assailants are seen fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting.

The injured victim has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.

Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects. (Newswire)
