Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali has been placed under provisional suspension by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following confirmation of a criminal investigation by Greater Manchester Police.
The PCB, in an official statement, said the investigation relates to an incident during the Pakistan Shaheens’ ongoing tour of England. The board confirmed it is providing legal support to Haider Ali and emphasized its respect for the UK’s legal processes.
“Haider Ali has received appropriate legal support to protect his rights throughout this process,” the PCB stated, adding that the suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place pending the outcome of the investigation.
