The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today arrested 21 individuals deported from Dubai upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

According to the Police, the suspects were taken into custody immediately after landing within the airport premises.

The Police state that the group had been living overseas for an extended period while continuing to operate organized crime syndicates and drug trafficking networks in Sri Lanka. (Newswire)
