Four persons have been reported injured in the train derailment between the Kelaniya and Wanawasala railway stations today (16).

According to the Police, the injured passengers have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. 

Train operations on the Main Line have been disrupted, while one track has been blocked after one of the carriages overturned on the railway line.

The train was reportedly travelling from Polgahawela to Colombo when the derailment occurred. (Newswire/ Image- Accident1st)
