Sri Lanka resumes sending workers to Israel after flight disruptions ease

Air travel between Sri Lanka and Israel has resumed after temporary disruptions caused by unrest in the Middle East, allowing Sri Lankan workers to resume travel for employment opportunities in Israel, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) said.
According to the bureau, a group of 47 Sri Lankan workers left for Israel on Thursday.
The group included 42 women and five men who had secured employment in the caregiving sector in Israel, and the 202nd group sent to Israel for employment opportunities.
SLBFE Chairman Koshala Wickramasinghe urged workers to fulfil their responsibilities properly, prioritise their health and make effective use of their earnings to ensure long-term stability upon returning to Sri Lanka. (Newswire)
