The 33rd death anniversary of former President Ranasinghe Premadasa was commemorated today with a ceremony held at Aluthkade.

The event took place near his statue, where a simple tribute ceremony was organised to mark the occasion.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa led the commemorations, joined by former First Lady Hema Premadasa, family members, relatives, and several political leaders.

Floral tributes were also paid at the statue during the event, honouring the late leader’s legacy. (Newswire)
