A group of Buddhist monks led by Venerable Pannakara Thero arrived in Sri Lanka this morning, marking the continuation of their “Walk for Peace” journey from Texas, United States.

The monks were received at the Bandaranaike International Airport by Venerable Melpitiye Wimalakitti Thero along with several members of the Maha Sangha.

Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Presidential Secretary Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, and Shevan Daniel of the Sirasa Media Network were also present to welcome the delegation
