Police say a key suspect linked to organized crime gang leader ‘Kanjipani Imran’ has been arrested by the Counter‑Terrorism and Investigation Division.

According to Police Media Spokesman, ASP F. U. Wootler, the arrest was made during a raid in the Ja‑Ela, Kala Road area on Monday (20), following intelligence information. 

ASP Wootler further said that the suspect is a 38‑year‑old resident of Colombo 15. 

He has been identified as an associate of Kanjipani Imran, said to be currently overseas.

ASP Wootler said investigations are underway by the Counter‑Terrorism and Investigation Division into the arrest. (Newswire)
