The Colombo Fort Railway Station is set to be modernized under a major development project aimed at improving passenger facilities.

According to Minister of Transport Bimal Rathnayake, the project will be carried out with an investment of Rs. 2.1 billion and is scheduled to be completed within 15 months.

The initiative is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of Sri Lanka. 

Once completed, the upgraded station is expected to provide enhanced convenience for commuters. (Newswire)
